Royal Themed Party Planning

Whether you are celebrating a birthday for your little prince, princess, or both, or hosting a baby shower or other event, here are some essentials to plan your royal themed birthday party:

1. Event Planner

Okay, we know we're biased to suggest you bring in an event planner to help with logistics and day of event help, but event planners, like Luxe Life Event Design prove to be a worthwhile investment for any size event and should be the first stop for any party preparations, especially if you have a busy schedule. We help with all the items below and way more, making sure your party is a memorable one that you can enjoy!

2. A Royal Color Scheme

Choose the guest of honors favorite color and accentuate with a metallic. Royal blue or purple and gold or silver work well, but make it your own!

3. Birthday Crowns

Instead of birthday hats for every guest, offer a royal crown (bonus – these often last longer on heads than hats) at the beginning of the party.

4. Seasonal Drinks

Royals have only the best of the best when it comes to food and drink. If the party is in the Summer, have some chilled wine or an iced cocktail for older guests, and a fun lemonade or juice for the little ones. If it’s in the Winter, have festive hot cocoa or apple cider.

5. A Picture-worthy Cake

The most photographed décor of the party is always the cake! Although we do many other types of desserts, the cake is still sought out by many guests who will wait around to try it when it’s cut! Go all out on this one, the bigger the better. Just make sure it tastes good too!

6. Customized Everything!

To sell the theme that the guest of honor is true royalty, create (or have us design and create) some custom party decorations. The guest of honors name should be everywhere possible, and the color scheme should be really strong throughout the party.

7. Quality Favors

Don’t skip this – favors for your fellow princes and princesses and kings and queens is good form. Custom sugar cookie crowns or color your own castles are sure to please.
